Presented by Mohr Imports Monterey, member of Bring a Trailer's Local Partners Program.

This 1970 Plymouth Superbird is one of 1,920 examples produced for a single model year and was refurbished under prior ownership. It is powered by a 440ci Super Commando V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in Limelight Green with a black vinyl top over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a nose cone, flip-up headlamps, a rear wing, Rallye 15? wheels, power brakes, power steering, a center console, a Hurst shifter, and an AM radio. The current owner purchased the car in January 2024 and has since added approximately 100 miles. The fuel pump was replaced and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale. This Superbird is now offered in California on dealer consignment as part of the Mohr Imports Car Week Collection: Postcards from Monterey with Superbird books, a copy of its broadcast sheet, and a Montana title.

Based on Plymouth’s mid-size Road Runner model, the 1970-only Superbird was designed for NASCAR competition, which required Chrysler to produce approximately 2,000 examples for homologation. This car was finished from the factory in Limelight Green (FJ5). Its aerodynamic nose cone has satin-black graphics and flip-up headlamps, and other exterior features include fender vents, hood pins, a black vinyl roof, dual side mirrors, simulated side scoops, a 24?-tall stabilizer wing, “Road Runner” cartoon graphics, black “Plymouth” quarter-panel script, and dual exhaust outlets that exit below the chrome rear bumper.

A three-spoke steering wheel with a horn ring and a Road Runner “Beep! Beep!” center cap frames a 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.
